yay! i’m finally cooking after a while. and here i am, cooking one of my favourite food, pempek 😍😍😍
pempek is a dish from palembang, made from fish and flour, kind of like siomay. there are many types of pempek but i currently only have 3 (kapal selam, lonjong, bulat)
kapal selam is a pempek filled with egg (not sure if it’s just the yolk or not because it’s just a yellow filling), and kapal selam itself means “submarine” because of the shape. (tbh i don’t think it looks like a submarine, it’s more like a heart shape)
this time i fried the lonjong one, since i don’t quite like the bulat (round) one.
#1 — this is a pic of the pempek, a cutting board, and a knife. you will also need a frying pan, oil strainer and cooking oil. and of course, a stove.
